Over Thanksgiving Weekend in 2015, I visited Reykjavík.  Stayed at the Cabin Hotel where I had Thanksgiving dinner on that Friday, it was passable.  Visited the shopping area and purchases some souveniers including Christmas cards which I sent from Iceland.  Did a boat tour to see the Northern Lights, did not see any.  Did a bus tour to see the Northern Lights, saw some!!  Took a bus tour to the Blue Lagoon, yes I went in for maybe 10 minutes (but only the indoor section).  They had one of the largest snow falls for a while that weekend.

Over Christmas 2017, I visited Reykjavík. Stayed at the Radisson Blu Saga Hotel. Did a bus tour to see the Northern Lights, did not see any. Did a bus tour of the city and surrounding area.
