In March 2007, during my road trip with Josh to Los Angeles, we
drove into Kansas and then drove out.
In May 2011, flew to Kansas City, MO then drove to
Lawrence, KS. On my way to Lawrence stopped at
Johnny's BBQ
in Olathe for lunch, I enjoyed the Beef/Pork BBQ Sandwich. Stayed
at the Springhill Suites. Walked along Massachusetts Street in
Downtown Lawrence. Had dinner at the
Free State Brewing Co. and
dessert at the
Cupcake Construction Company.
(Unfortunately, the Cupcake Construction Company's last day
in business was October 27th, 2012.)
The next day, I visited the
National Airline
History Museum at the Kansas City Airport (not the international
airport) in Missouri. Then had lunch at
RJ's Bob-Be-Que Shack in Mission, KS, I enjoyed Johnny's Sandwich
better. Then attended a
T-Bones Baseball game in Kansas, they lost. But I really
enjoyed the game, Minor League baseball is sooo much better than Major
League.
Spent the night at the Marriott at the Kansas City
International Airport in Missouri, then flew home the next morning.
